UBCIC Digital Collections

Welcome to the Union of British Columbia Indian Chiefs Digital Collections.

The Union of B.C. Indian Chiefs is a non-governmental organization that has been granted Special Consultative status by the United Nations Economic and Social Council. Since its creation, the UBCIC has produced a wide variety of materials to support its operation,advance its position and provide up-to-date information on the activities of the organization as well as report on issues important to UBCIC members.

The UBCIC Digital Collections consist of a series of digitized multimedia materials. Our Homes are Bleeding focuses on the cut-off lands in British Columbia. The First Nations Digital Document Source is a collection of documents supporting land claims research. UBCIC History Online is a digital collection of materials produced during and related to the establishment and early years of the UBCIC which includes multiple runs of newsletters published by the Union, archival photographs, and graphic materials such as posters and bulletins.
