Coast Salish Territory/Vancouver, BC – The Union of BC Indian Chiefs will hold its 39th Annual General Assembly from September 19th-21st in Vancouver, BC. First Nations Leaders will discuss the New Relationship, UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, Early Childhood Development, Health, Forestry and Heritage. This year’s theme is Respecting Our Generations.

On the morning of September 20th the UBCIC Chiefs Council will vote in the Election of the President for the Union of BC Indian Chiefs.

The UBCIC 39th Annual General Assembly is open to the general public.
