The Indian Child Caravan was a march and demonstration which took place in 1980 supporting Spallumcheen's by-law for the care of Indian Children. AFN National Chief Shawn A-in-chut Atleo marched with 2,500 people in the 21st Annual Women's Memoral March in Vancouver. In November 2011, the UBCIC Executive supported the Tsilhqot'in National Government as they appeared before the Supreme Court of British Columbia which granted a 90-day injunction against Taseko's exploration drilling. A memorial pole was carved for John T. Williams. The pole was carried by volunteers and erected on the grounds of Seattle Center on February 26, 2012. Lhoosk'uz 3rd Annual Pow Wow. August 6, 2011.
